He would be stunned at the world he discovers outside the cave and does not believe it. That is where he finds out that his former point of view of the world was false. He discovers the sun and the benefit of the sun and the outside gist of nature. Then Plato writes then again had that prisoner returned to the cave his old fellow prisoners would have offended by the truth he told them. The way Plato has designed this example emphasizes the importance of knowledge. It also shed light on the fact that we take wrong meaning of things due to lack of knowledge.
